The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, October 22: Nick Threatens Rey, Kyle’s Shocking Discovery

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, October 22, 2018 reveals that over at Jabot, Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) insists that the secret documents will show Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) that she is a very good mother.

Kyle’s Shocking Discovery

In the hall, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) chats with Ted about the Abbott drama and his break-up. Back in the office, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) locks the door and Dina gets upset that a page from the documents is missing. When she finds it, Kyle reads it and it grants Ashley rights to all patents and developments from Jabot, excluding all others, for perpetuity. Billy tries to get in so Kyle slips out and tells him Dina is inside thinking she is talking to John Abbott. Billy leaves. Kyle returns and learns the documents are a present from Dina and John to Ashley.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Henile) and Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) think about how to handle the blackmailer’s email.

Phyllis Is Done With Billy

At the Athletic Club, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) joins Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). She says she has had an epiphany and is done with Billy Abbott. Phyllis mentions she saw an ugly side of Billy. She is shocked by Jack’s ability to forgive. Phyllis cries she is sorry and Jack wipes her tears.

Nick Threatens Rey

Over at Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is playing with Christian when Rey Rosales (Jordi Villasuso) appears. Nick Newman arrives and Nikki takes off after checking her messages. Rey gives Christian a mini squad car. Then Nick questions him about Sharon McAvoy. Nick warns Rey to do the right thing and back off. He insists him and Sharon are going to work things out.

At Newman Enterprises, Phyllis Summers tries to trace the blackmailer’s digital fingerprint while the other three speculates. She is unable to find it. Talk turns to moving the body.

Blackmailer Is Coming After Mariah

At Sharon McAvoy’s place, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) gets an unknown caller who is the 10th call today that breathes, but says nothing and hangs up. Sharon freaks out when Mariah tells her she thinks she has been being followed as well. Sharon slips away to update the other three ladies. She tells them that they are coming for her kid and that’s game over. Nikki Newman says she will pay the money tonight.

At the police station, Rey Rosales thinks about the car he gave Christian.

At Dark Horse, Nick Newman plays with Christian and his new car.

At the Abbott mansion, Billy Abbott lets Jack Abbott know that Kyle Abbott is at Jabot with Dina Mergeron. He suggest Jack go save Dina from Kyle.

Dina Stops Kyle From Trying To Destroy Documents

At Jabot, Kyle Abbott talks Dina Mergeron into letting him put the documents back in the safe. They walk out but he makes out that he forgot his keys. He goes back in and gets the documents out and is about to shred them when Dina walks in and yells, “Stop it, I say!” And that’s a wrap.
