The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, October 15: Jack Freaks As Ashley Reveals How She Used Dina To Betray Him

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, October 15, 2018 reveals that over at Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is thinking about the note she received when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) walks in and says she got another except hers says the final 3 digits of your payment are 000 and she has 24 hours to wire the money. They realize Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) will have the last piece of the puzzle.

Sharon Finds Another note

At home, Sharon McAvoy is trying to catch up on her cleaning when she gets a call from Nikki Newman informing her to check her mail. Once they hang up she looks through her mail and finds the note in question.

Traci Calls Ashley Cruel

In the office of Jabot, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) wonders how Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) could be so cruel. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) knew Ashley was sick and twisted. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wants an explanation and orders everyone out.

Jack Feels Victor Put Ashley Up To Her Betrayal

Jack guesses Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was behind her doing this to him and she laughs. She says she came up with it all by herself. She reminds him of gifting her with the Abbott blood clause for Christmas. Then points out how he framed her when she went to with Victoria Newman at Newman Enterprises. Jack insists it was only to get her to come back to Jabot.

Ashley Explains How She Manipulated Dina

Ashley cries that she was sick of being nice and wanted to be cold and calculating like him. The she explains how she prompted their mother into believing she had another affair. Jack is furious that she has no compassion for Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams).

Abby Defends Her Mom

Out in the hall at Jabot, Traci Abbott, Kyle Abbott, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) snark about Ashley Abbott until Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) yells for them to stop. They then stop Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) from leaving. He tells them something drove Ashley to do this. Andrew leaves followed by Lauren and Phyllis who gets a text to head to Sharon McAvoy’s.

Ashley Reveals ALL

Back in the office, Ashley Abbott reveals next that she duped Abby Newman into taking her hair instead of Traci Abbott’s to the lab. She also edited the footage of Dina Mergeron’s confession on the documentary. They argue about Kyle Abbott and Ashley let’s Jack Abbott know that Kyle knew about Dina Mergeron’s confession long before he did. Jack gets really angry and pushes the CEO chair across the room.

Ashley Feels Jack is As Much Too Blame As She

Ashley let’s him know that she planned on revealing everything at Christmas since that’s when he gave her the papers to the blood Abbott clause, but Christmas came early this year. Ashley thinks Jack is just as much to blame as she is and thinks John Abbott would understand her reasoning for what she done and forgive her. Jack pries her nameplate from the door and hollers she has disgraced everything their father stood for. He smashes the CEO chair through the glass in the reception as Ashley screams.

The Ladies Are Being Blackmailed For Big Money

Back over at Sharon McAvoy’s, Phyllis Summers arrives and joins the other three ladies. They get out their notes. The money is supposed to be sent to an offshore account. Nikki Newman says they either pay it or risk being exposed. Phyllis points out none of the notes reference J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) death, so what are they paying for? Victoria agrees. Nikki and Sharon reluctantly agree to hold out.

Abby and Traci Shocked At Ashley’s Behaviour

Over at the Abbott mansion, Abby Newman wonders how her mom could do such a thing. Traci Abbott is still trying to figure that out. Kyle points out nothing he’s pulled compares to Ashley Abbott’s sick scheme. He didn’t understand John Abbott’s legacy until he saw it taken away from his dad. He says he will never forgive Ashley. Traci tells Kyle and Abby they must come together as a family now.
