The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, May 14: Kyle Tries To Comfort Jack

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, May 14, 2018 reveals that over at the Abbott’s place, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) finds his dad Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) sitting in the dark with the envelope that holds the answers of his DNA and he is contemplating on whether to open it. Kyle wants to know what the results are because they affect him too. Jack puts the envelope in his pocket.

Victoria Tells The Ladies She Has Decided Not To Confess

Over at Crimson Lights, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) teases Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) with the fact that she is going to have a bubble bath and will be alone. Nick asks her if it is for two. Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) come in. Nick is still confused about how they are all friends all of sudden and they insist they aren’t just chummy. Nick leaves. Victoria tells Sharon that Phyllis made her understand that confessing was not so smart. Sharon is happy they are on the same page. Victoria leaves and Phyllis and Sharon chat. Sharon tells Phyllis she distracted Nick by having him help with Faith.

Kyle and Abby Accuses Victor Of Changing the Video

Over at Newman Enterprises, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) barges in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) office and asks her dad how could he. She accuses him of being the one to alter the video but he denies it. Victor makes her leave. Victoria arrives to see her dad and he apologizes to her about what happened with her and J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and feels he could have done more. Talk turns to his recovery and work. Kyle Abbott arrives as Victoria is leaving and tells Victoria that Victor is mentoring him. After they are alone Kyle confronts Victor and wants to know how the video got changed. Victor turns the accusation back on him.

Jack Learns Billy Is Not is Brother

Over in Jack Abbott’s office, Jack talks out loud to John Abbott. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) comes in and wants to know about the paternity results. Jack feels badgered and wants him to leave. Billy just wants to be there for Jack, but he still wants him to go. Billy runs into Phyllis by the elevators and they kiss. Billy leaves and Phyllis goes to try to comfort Jack. Phyllis reminds Jack of how strong he is and all that he has conquered. Phyllis asks Jack what would John want him to do and he knows John would want him to man up. Phyllis leaves so Jack opens the envelope and reads that he is not Billy Abbotts half-brother. Jack is upset. Over in the reception area, Billy runs into Kyle and they chat about how Jack is hurting and Billy tells Kyle the Abbotts will never abandon him or Jack. Kyle goes in to see Jack but he is gone. Kyle sees the DNA papers laying on the desk and reads them.

Nick and Phyllis Heart JT’s Cell Phone Is Back On

Over at Sharon McAvoy’s place, Phyllis Summers takes Nick Newman by surprise when she shows up. He offers to take a message for Sharon but Phyllis wants to wait. While there Phyllis learns that Nick has been listening to a police scanner and they hear that J.T. Hellstrom’s cell phone signal is back on the grid and they take off to the location.

Kyle Tries To Comfort Jack

Kyle Abbott finds his dad at home drinking and tries to comfort him. Kyle wants to figure out who they are now together. Jack feels it makes sense that he is not an Abbott because he never measured up. Jack is upset and rants that he can not run Jabot anymore. Kyle lets him know they are in this together. Jack makes a statement about the karma of him putting the blood Abbott clause in place and that he did it to himself and Jack leaves.
