The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, July 9: Hilary Seeks Nate’s Help With Baby Scare

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, July 9, 2018, reveals that over at the Chancellor Estate cemetery, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) continues to dig up Phillip Chancellor’s grave. Inside, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) jumps up to the noise and calls about an intruder. Shortly after the police come.

Hilary Starts Getting Horrible Cramps

At the Hamilton-Winters Group, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are going over work. Mariah suggests they go home but right before they do Hilary gets a bad cramp. Hilary searches the Web for information then realizes she can speak to a doctor online.

Hilary Worries For Her Baby

Over at the penthouse, Hilary Curtis is relieved that her pain is normal and tells Mariah Copeland she will see her OBGYN tomorrow morning. She thanks Mariah and sends her on her way. Hilary then holds her baby bump with a worried look on her face.

Sharon and Nikki Terrified of J.T.

At Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are freaked out by what they saw. They worry that J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) is on his way to the main house to finish off Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

They hear a noise upstairs but it’s just Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) getting out of the shower. He joins them and says he will go check on his father. Sharon objects. The doorknob starts to turn and Nick grabs the fire poker. Mariah enters and screams, “What the hell is going on?” They fill her in and she wants to call the cops but they will not let her.

Nick goes to leave and tells them to lock the doors behind him. Later Nick returns and says Victor is not at the ranch and Christian is safe. Nikki gets frantic thinking something happened to Victor, but he arrives.

He reveals he has been doing damage control since Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) resigned. They fill him in about J.T. then Victor and Nikki left. Outside, Victor reassures Nikki about J.T. She tells him she does not want to sleep alone tonight. Victor kisses her and says he will sleep with her.

Kyle Arrested Digging Up Phillip’s Grave 

Over at the Dive Bar, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) joins Summer Newman (Hunter King). Summer tells him that Kyle Abbott left Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) party early and that he was drunk and upset. Talk turns to Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) condition.

They continue chatting and are interrupted by a call Jack receives. After, he tells Summer that Kyle was arrested for digging up Phillip Chancellor’s grave. They go to night court.

Hilary Seeks Nate’s Help With Baby Scare

At Hilary Curtis’s place, she gets more frustrated and worried. She rushes over to Neil Winter’s (Kristoff St. John) penthouse and bangs on the door repeatedly. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) answers. Hilary says she needs a doctor but Nate thinks she is seeking attention.

Hilary threatens to repeat this to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) so Nate agrees to check her out. After he tells her that she and the baby are just fine. Hilary tries to apologize and tells him she knows about his fiancée dying. Nate gets angry again thinking she is being nosy and sends her on her way.

Kyle In Big Trouble 

At the Abbott place, Summer Newman teases Kyle Abbott for his list of charges. He throws her back in her face and she says hers were dropped. Jack is irritated and tells Kyle he has to clean up his mess. Jack calls Esther Valentine over and Kyle gives her somewhat of an apology.

Esther says she will try to convince Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to let it go. After she is gone Jack warns Kyle not to be proud of himself. Summer wants to stick around for the argument but they send her packing.

They have it out over Kyle’s motives for wanting to know if he is a Chancellor. Kyle thinks he deserves the COO position but Jack points out all the work and time Ashley Abbott has put in. Then tells Kyle in time there will be an executive suite for him.

Kyle says maybe sooner and reveals a piece of a bone fragment that he was able to get before the cops got there. Kyle suggests they run DNA on it.
