She gets her cell phone and dials someone and gets the news of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) passing away. She breaks down in tears and Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) appears and comforts her. Mariah worries about Devon and knows Hilary would not want her sitting there moping.
Mariah decides she needs to do something huge and very Hilary. Mariah leaves. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) appears and Sharon asks him if he is ready to talk about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and what happened.
They chat about Hilary and then talk turns back to the fight. Nick says Billy threw the first punch and got what he deserved. Sharon finds Mariah’s one-way train ticket and goes to find her.
At Hamilton-Winters Group, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) comes in and finds an envelope with his name on it at his desk and opens it up and reads it. He looks shocked. He then phones someone and takes off.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) sits in the Athletic Club dining room, then reads something on his tablet, and has a very distressed look on his face.

Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) comes downstairs at home and gets out her coffee mug. She uses her phone and breaks down in tears. Summer Newman (Hunter King) appears and wants coffee. Phyllis snaps at her about wasting her life. Summer realizes Hilary has passed and tries to comfort Phyllis.
At the hospital, Neil Winters finds Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and runs over and hugs him.
At the penthouse, Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) feels bad and apologizes to Devon Hamilton for letting him and Hilary Curtis down. He and Neil Winters both want to help Devon, but he begins shutting them out.
Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm) appears and Devon breaks the news to her. Devon lets Shauna know that his home will always be her home. Devon comforts Shauna then says he has some business to attend to.
Neil gets a call from Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and tells her Devon may not be ready for condolences yet. Nate and Neil discuss Devon refusing to mourn.
Mariah Copeland arrives. Neil tells her he got a letter of resignation from Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Mariah tells him that Tessa got offered a big music deal and had to take off. Mariah asks Neil if she can do GC Buzz today and do a tribute to Hilary.
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers and Billy Abbott are both wearing shades. He asks her if she has been crying then realizes Hilary Curtis has passed and pulls Phyllis in for a hug. He then goes on to apologize.
She worries he is going down a dark path. Nick Newman appears also wearing shades. Nick wants to speak to Phyllis alone and Billy says he doesn’t know whether his girlfriend wants that. Jack Abbott arrives and cracks a joke about it being “an exes of Phyllis” meeting.
Billy leaves. Nick and Jack both offer their condolences to Phyllis. Phyllis and Jack agree to raise a glass later in her honor. After, Nick and Jack chat and he warns him not to bring a personal vendetta to Dark Horse. Jack points out Nick is doing the same. Nick says he wants to change and make it positive.
At the Dive Bar, Mariah Copeland gets the crew together. Sharon McAvoy arrives and confronts her about leaving and she says she could not abandon her family. Down at Hamilton-Winters Group, Devon Hamilton refuses Nate Hastings and Neil Winters’ invite to watch Mariah’s tribute to Hilary Curtis.
They turn on the show. Mariah chats about Hilary and makes a joke about how Hilary would be picking on her for the way she is dressed. Nearby, Devon watches with a sad look on his face as Mariah talks about Hilary’s generosity.
Devon cries and so does Mariah as she signs off. Neil holds Devon as he breaks down. In the dining room, Jack Abbott and Phyllis Summers toast to Hilary. Talk turns to her and Billy Abbott. Jack apologizes about the joke he made before.
At the Dive Bar, Mariah spots Tessa Porter and is stunned. She tells Mariah how she changed her one-way train ticket on a round trip. She tells Mariah she will not choose between her and her sister and that she will return.
Over at Jabot, Billy Abbott tells Summer Newman that he does regret hitting Nick Newman. Summer says Nick was wrong and that it was her leading Billy astray. Summer thinks Billy is better off without her mom and she comes onto to him.
Billy is frustrated with her always flirting with him. Summer tells him the best way to get over someone, is to get under someone new. She then moves in for a kiss, but he stops her. He tells her he is not hooking up with Phyllis Summers’ daughter.
Summer then points out if she wasn’t Phyllis’ daughter then he would. Billy says, “But you are!” He then warns her to stop. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
