The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, July 2: Sharon’s Shocking Discovery At Chancellor Park

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, July 2, 2018, reveals that over at Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) looks at the security footage and is in disbelief.

Sharon and Nick Excited for Fall Wedding

At Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) chat about their fall wedding. They hope to have Christian back by then. They kiss. Sharon receives a text to meet at the coffee house.

Billy Happy About His Sales Projections

At Jabot, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) chats with Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) about how great his sales projections are and gives all board members a share of the profit. He even gives the employees an extended Holiday weekend with pay for the 4th.

Phyllis receives a text and takes off. A little later, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) arrives and Billy offers him his share of the profits but he declines. Jack thinks Billy should reinvest it. He tells Billy he should get a couple of solid quarters under his belt before handing out money.

Devon and Hilary Hear Their Babies Heartbeat

Over at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) place, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) admires her baby bump in the mirror and takes pictures of it. Devon jokes that it’s just the food she has been eating. Hilary insists it’s their child and then talks about the fact that she plans to wear all her gorgeous attire throughout her pregnancy.

They kiss. A technician arrives and they get an ultrasound of their baby. It takes a few to find the baby’s heartbeat and they panic but it is found and they are over the moon to hear it. Devon tells Hilary they are a family now.

Summer and Nikki Talk About Victor

At the Athletic Club, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) runs into Summer Newman (Hunter King) who informs her grandmother that she hasn’t kept in touch because she is furious with her grandfather for taking Christian away from her father.

Nikki wishes Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would have never done so. They say goodbye. Summer heads to the Dive Bar and eyes Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) with the girl he has been seeing. Summer makes a snide remark to him about her.

Phyllis Considers Digging Up J.T.’s Grave

Over at Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman, Victoria Newman, Phyllis Summers, and Sharon McAvoy meet up and look over the security footage. Phyllis thinks the footage has been doctored. The others aren’t sure what to think.

The debate on the fact if J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) could really be alive and then Phyllis comes up with the idea of digging his grave up. Nikki agrees to get the park closed down so that they will not get caught. Nick appears and finds it odd that they have their heads together.

Sharon tells him they began to talk about J.T. during their charity meeting. Victoria fills him in on the security footage. Phyllis gets a text from Summer. They all spilt up and Nick pulls Nikki to the side. Nick questions her about Victor Newman’s health and whether he is capable of looking after Christian.

Nikki reassures him that he is fine and to have compassion. Nick can not forgive his father. Nikki angrily defends Victor. Nick rants back and Sharon jumps in and reminds him it’s not Nikki’s fault. They apologize. Nick gets choked up and talks about missing Christian but then he feels his mother is covering for Victor again and gets heated.

Jack Plans to Get Dina to Testify

At the Dive Bar, Jack Abbott tells Victoria Newman about J.T. Hellstrom visiting him in jail. Then points out how J.T. made the statement that he wished he wouldn’t have came by and found Victor that night. Victoria points out then it would have been murder.

Jack wants her to be careful. Jack then goes and joins Kyle Abbott. They chat about Jack’s next move and Kyle is all in to help him. They suggest doing a walk through with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) to make sure she is comfortable to testify.

Phyllis Denies Summer’s Loan Request

At home, Summer Newman has got lunch for her and her mother. Phyllis Summers points out Summer must have an agenda. She admits to her mom that she is broke and wants a loan. Phyllis wants her to work and earn her own way.

Billy Hopes Phyllis and Summer Get Along Better

Back at Jabot, Phyllis Summers tells Billy Abbott about her lunch with Summer Newman. Phyllis thinks they had a breakthrough and tells him she admitted to being broke. Billy hopes they can have a better relationship.

Nick Ploys New Plan To Get Christian Back

Back at Sharon McAvoy’s place, Nick Newman phones his attorney and informs her that his father is hiding a serious medical condition. He wants to prove he is unfit to have Christian.

Summer Catches Billy Playing Poker

Summer Newman finds Billy Abbott playing poker. She points out that he said he was not gambling anymore. She says she will keep his secret but he insists it’s not a secret. She then says she will let him decide to tell her mom or not.

Sharon Finds Shocking Discovery

At Chancellor Park, Sharon McAvoy arrives and finds Nikki Newman, Phyllis Summers, and Victoria Newman staring at something in shock. Sharon asks “What the hell is that?” And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
