The Young and the Restless Recap Monday, August 6: Billy Catches Kyle Snooping Though Papers

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, August 6, 2018 reveals, that over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) notices her mother seems bothered.

They chat about it and Sharon tells Mariah that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is back on the marrying train and also wants to move off the property. Sharon has memories at their home and feels connected to it and admits she misses the old Nick sometimes. Mariah advises her change is good.

At Crimson Lights, Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) debate on whether she should turn herself in. They also wonder if Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will stop Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) from going to the police. Later, Sharon McAvoy and Mariah Copeland arrive. Sharon thanks Mariah for her advice and wants her to help with her wedding.

At home, Summer Newman (Hunter King) parades around in nothing but a towel. She asks Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) why he is back with her mom. Billy wants someone unpredictable and exciting. Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) appears and tells Summer that Billy is back now so no more walking around in a towel. Shortly after, Phyllis tries to get Billy to let her in on his secret project but he says he will tell her soon.

Over at the Athletic Club, Devon Hamilton says hello to Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson). They make small talk before she leaves for work. Up at Hamilton-Winters Group, Mattie asks Lily Ashby about leaving home early. Lily says she has a lot on her mind. Mattie reminds her they all know it was just an accident.

They hug. In the dining room, Cane Ashby warns Devon that he is going to hurt his family. Cane then questions if he is going to sacrifice his sister to make up for losing his wife and baby. Devon replies, “Yes, watch me!” Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) comes up. Cane leaves. Nate warns Devon that Cane is not going to give up protecting Lily.

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is there working when Phyllis Summers arrives looking for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Nikki calls Phyllis out for the suggestion she made to Sharon McAvoy. Phyllis says she may have been thinking out loud.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) enters and Phyllis tells him they were talking about a charity idea that Nikki passed up on and leaves. Victor brings up Nikki’s stress levels. He has Nate Hastings to look over Nikki and tells her he will be taking care of their medical needs.

At Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) hides and watches as Billy Abbott sends Summer Newman to her own desk as she apologizes about the towel thing. He confronts Summer about her motives as to why she wants to tell Billy about her mom’s sleepover.

Kyle thinks she would be doing herself a favor and tells her that she and Billy could never be anything more than cheap and meaningless. Later, Kyle goes into Billy’s office and snoops through the paperwork on his desk. Billy catches him. Kyle texts Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to come back. Phyllis Summers arrives and Billy tells her about catching Kyle then suggest she close the door for them some private time.

Cane Ashby goes to the penthouse to have a talk with Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm). He tells her the wreck was just a complete accident. Then tells her he has to protect his wife and children. She reminds him that he thinks she is a bad influence.

Cane then tells Shauna if she tells the police now they could get her for obstructing justice. Shauna doesn’t believe he cares about her. Devon Hamilton arrives and tells Cane to get the hell out of there. Cane warns Shauna that Devon is only using her for revenge. Devon slams the door in his face.

Back at Crimson Lights, Kyle Abbott offers his condolences to Mariah Copeland. He asks about Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah says she is on a trip. When Kyle wants details Mariah says goodbye.

Back over at the club, Mariah Copeland talks to Tessa Porter on the phone. She tells Mariah that she is a few days from getting Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder) settled. Mariah then overhears Tessa telling someone to leave her alone and they get disconnected. Up at Hamilton-Winters Group, Cane Ashby updates Lily Ashby that Devon Hamilton is not being reasonable.
