The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, August 27: Phyllis Confronts Billy About Summer

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, August 27, 2018 reveals that over at Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) enters and he and Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) chat. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) comes in and Rey tells her he would like to fix things with his brother and wants her help, but she doesn’t want to get involved.

Rey tells Abby that he was the oldest and had to be the man of the house growing up since they only had their mom. Talk then turns to her family and J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Abby says she is not worried he will come back after her because J.T. wasn’t the one who hacked the Newman server. He wants to know more, but she exits and leaves him in suspense. He then writes some notes down.

Out on the patio, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) tells Sharon that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is not returning any of her texts. She admits why Tessa left town. Sharon thinks Tessa is not coming back by choice. Mariah goes out and leaves Tessa another voicemail. Later, Sharon has a leak behind the counter and Rey helps her fix it. His shirt gets wet so he pulls it off. Sharon admires his physique. Rey asks her about her wedding and she points out he is not wearing a ring. He tells Sharon he and his wife are on break.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) makes it home from his trip and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) confronts Billy about he and her daughter. Billy wants to call Summer Newman (Hunter King) to see where she got the crazy idea of something going between them. Phyllis then speaks up and explains how she is riding in circles out on a lake with no cell reception on Jaboat.

They chat about things and Phyllis decides to call her, but Billy wants to let her stew. Phyllis wonders what he would’ve done if Summer had shown up in his hotel room. Billy likes to think he would have slammed the door on her. Phyllis wonders why Billy didn’t tell her about what was going on and he says he was only trying to protect her.

Billy goes upstairs then comes back down with bags saying he doesn’t deserve her. Phyllis regrets the way she accused him and wants them to forget it all. They have sex and afterwards Billy tells her he wants them to move out tomorrow morning and says he has a plan. Phyllis agrees.

At the Athletic Club, the twins have got some articles for Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) about women’s prisons. They wanted her to know what to expect. They head to the office and Maddie Ashby (Lexi Stevenson) goes over her research she pulled up. Charlie gives her a documentary. Mattie says if her uncle doesn’t speak up for her mom then the judge will not know it was all an accident.

Lily tells them they have to be prepared. They hug. After the twins leave Lily breaks down in tears and Abby Newman walks in. Lily admits to Abby that she is scared to death. Abby tries to console her. Lily says her biggest fear is that she will not survive prison. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
