The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, April 30: Victor Collapses, Pushing Himself Too Hard

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, April 30, 2018 reveals that over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that she needs to talk to him for a minute.

Mariah Is Worried About Sharon

Mariah tells Nick it’s about Sharon and she is really worried about her and that she has been jumpy and on edge for days now. Nick says it really rattled him about what J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) did and he wonders if that could have affected Sharon. Mariah suggest that maybe it’s because of the abusive boyfriend that Sharon once had. Nick says whatever is going on with her they need to get her to talk about. Meanwhile, Sharon starts listening in on their conversation and finally walks in the room and asks them what is with the hush, hush routine. Mariah has a shocked look on her face and Nick tells Sharon they were talking about a surprise for her. Sharon says what kind of surprise and Mariah gets tongue tied and then says it’s for her birthday. Sharon reminds her that is months away. Mariah says she is gonna need that time to get it right. Then says look at the time and leaves.

Faith Gets Suspended From School

Nick gets a call from Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) school. Faith was involved in an incident and Nick and Sharon leave to go to the school. They return home with Faith who got suspended from school for a day. They have a talk with her about what happened and let her off the hook cause she was taking up for her friends that were being bullied. Faith goes to her room and Nick brings up to Sharon if there is anything going on with her she can tell to him and he leaves.

Sharon Lies To Mariah

Mariah comes back and finds Sharon upset. She wants to know what is wrong. Sharon says she just felt sorry for the girls that was getting bullied. Mariah does not buy it and wants to know the truth. Mariah reminds her she can tell her anything and she will take it to her grave. Sharon is afraid of what Mariah will think of her if she tells her. Then she starts talking about Nick moving in and sending him mixed signals. She plays it off as she is just upset about that.

Nikki Cannot Find Victor

Over at the Newman Ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) tells Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) that it’s great to have him back. He asks how is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doing. Nikki says that Victor does not like to be anything less than top condition and he has been frustrated and taking it out on everyone. She goes to find Victor to let him know Neil has arrived. He’s gone, she can’t find him.

Phyllis Tells Billy To Give Victoria Space

Over at the Athletic Club, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) meet. Billy just got finished sending Johnny and Katie off on their field trip. Billy kisses Phyllis and she asks what that is for he said for being so understanding and letting the kids stay with them while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) detoxes from the whole J.T. mess. He tells Phyllis he knows she has got to be tired of hearing the same kid cartoon over and over and he is going to give her a break and that’s why he is going to drop the kids off at their moms after school. Phyllis says no they need to keep them longer. Phyllis says everything Victoria has been through that she wants to help. They chat about how Phyllis has been there for Victoria and all that has went on. Billy decides to text Victoria to see if she needs to talk. Phyllis advises him to wait and give her some time.

Victor Hopes To Be Back At Work in One Week

Back over at the ranch, Nikki and Neil find Victor out in the stables lifting weights and having one of his secretaries taking notes. Nikki tells her to take a break and tell the cook what she would like for lunch. Nikki warns Victor not to push himself too hard. She has Neil to back her up. Victor tells Neil what J.T. done to him is only going to make him work out harder and get stronger. Victor says he is determined to be back in a week. Neil tells Nikki jokingly that it’s obvious Victor is trying to show off. Nikki let’s Victor know she is holding it down as CEO. Victor is determined to find J.T. and make him pay. Nikki is upset that Victor is testing the limits of his body. She gets upset and walks away and tells Neil maybe he can talk some sense into Victor.

Victor Collapses

Neil and Victor chat about how the hunt for J.T. is going. Victor fills Neil in on what J.T. did to Victoria and Neil is stunned. Victor says imagining that happening to your daughter. Neil understands where Victor is coming from and promises to be there for Victor for whatever he needs. Victor wants a double shot of tequila and Neil gets it and pours it out on the ground. Neil tells Victor that is him being his friend. Talk turns to their kids and Victor says he has noticed a change in Nikki. Then tells Neil about he and Nikki’s arrangement. Neil helps Victor get his weights back to continue on. Victor drops the weights and tries to stand and collapses.

Nikki Tells Nick Victor Knows About Arturo

Over at Crimson lights, Nick Newman meets his mother. She informs him about Victor knowing about her and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and how he wants him gone. Phyllis walks in and they talk about how things are with the New Hope project and then Nick tells them the story of what happened with Faith. Then he goes into details about how Sharon is acting troubled lately and Phyllis tells Nick not to read too much into it then he leaves.

Nikki Warms Hilary

Phyllis sits down with Nikki and they talk about getting Sharon under wraps as Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) watches near by. Hilary walks up and asks what’s the big secret. Hilary says her money is on J.T. Hellstrom’s mysterious disappearance. Nikki tells her all bets are off and she better not think about using her tawdry little show to capitalized on my daughters pity. Nikki leaves. Hilary tells Phyllis that she has nothing but compassion for Victoria and heard about their girls night from Mariah. Hilary says she is all about empowering women and wants to know why she wasn’t invited. Phyllis reminds Hilary she isn’t exactly friends with Victoria.

HIlary Admits She is Not Pregnant

She laughs and says you are. Phyllis says they will check her schedule and do it again. Hilary says her schedule is all open now because she is not pregnant. She explains about the false positive and how she blabbed before she went to doctor. She doesn’t know what she is going to do. Phyllis tries to cheer Hilary up. Then wants to know what Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) had to say. Hilary said she tried to tell him but couldnt because Simone (Shanica Knowles) was with him.

Phyllis Reminds Hilary She Has Devon’s Sample

Phyllis brings up the sample that Devon gave Hilary then Hilary comes up with the brilliant plan of using it and getting pregnant and never telling Devon what happened.
