The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, October 5: Billy Sleeps With Summer, Sharon Kicks Nick To The Curb

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, October 5, 2018 reveals that over at the church, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) apologizes to Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case). Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) wants Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to step outside with her.

Billy And Sharon Want An Explanation

Sharon hollers and calls Phyllis out for trying to leave. Billy wonders if what he is hearing is true. Phyllis admits it and says it happened when they were broken up. Sharon throws up that she and Nick were only apart for one night.

Billy reveals that he and Phyllis were going to get married and says this is not the only wedding that is not going to happen. Nick reaches for Sharon and she smacks him and tells him not to touch her. Billy tries to go after Nick, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) holds him back. The minister wants them to leave.

At Crimson Lights, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) chats with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) about how it was awful watching her brother’s life blow up. Abby says that Nick Newman and Phyllis Summers caused it. Arturo tells her not to be too hard on her brother. Arturo decides they need to go drink tequila and hit a dance floor and he knows the perfect place.

Sharon Kicks Nick Out

At Sharon McAvoy’s place, she wants Nick Newman out of her house. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) wants them to deal with this. Once alone, Nick apologizes again. Nick then explains how he found her ring on the table and thought they were over. Sharon snaps that he should have called a friend and not Phyllis. Sharon decides there should not be a next time for them. Nick wants another chance but she says no.

Billy Kicks Phyllis Out

At the Abbott mansion, Billy Abbott and Phyllis Summers talk. Billy says he knew when he hit rock bottom he would be okay because he had her. She tells him he still does. Billy declares they are done. He tells her to get out of his house and his life. Phyllis vows to fight for Billy. After Phyllis leaves, Billy tells Jack Abbott he is getting what he deserves. Jack thinks he needs rehab now more than ever. Billy agrees to go tomorrow.

Mariah Feels Guilty

At the Athletic Club, Mariah Copeland is upset and sits with Noah Newman. Mariah reveals she is the one who told and Noah says he would’ve done the same. Talk turns to her relationship with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Noah says he is over her.

At the bar, Billy Abbott is happy Summer Newman (Hunter King) met up with him. Billy tells her he ended things with her mother. Summer wonders why he called her. Billy tells her she was right all along. He then says he couldn’t give into temptation before, but now he’s free to do what he pleases. Billy wants to go back to her place and says it’s her call.

Mariah Copeland and Noah Newman arrive at Sharon McAvoy’s with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Nick comes downstairs with his bags. Faith shouts she knew this would happen. Nick informs Sharon he is not giving up and leaves.

Billy Sleeps With Summer

Phyllis Summers sits on a bed and sips a bottle of alcohol. She thinks about Billy Abbott.
