The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, October 19: Kyle And Dina’s Shocking Discovery

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, October 19, 2018 reveals that over at the Abbott mansion, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) tells Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) it’s Thursday and Dina gets excited about meeting Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and her poker group.

Abby tells her they can’t make it today. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) appears and chats with Dina. Abby reappears and cuts things short with Ashley before leaving. Dina wants to know what Ashley did to upset Abby. Ashley goes upstairs to pack her things and Dina hollers only Abbott’s are allowed up there and says she is calling the police, but doesn’t have a phone.

Dina Freaks On Ashley – Says Shes Not An Abbott

When Ashley reappears with a box Dina accuses her of stealing. Ashley then sits down in the chair and cries. Dina looks at photos and recalls good times and Ashley only remembers the bad ones. Ashley leaves. Dina starts searching for something as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) arrives. Kyle figures out that Dina thinks she put something in a safe at Jabot so he suggest they take a drive.

At Crimson Lights on the patio, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) wants Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) opinion on how they handled the blackmailer. Victoria thinks they made the right decision. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives. Victoria leaves. Sharon asks Nick about Christian.

Nick Jealous Of Sharon And Rey

Nick let’s Sharon know that Christian still looks for her and misses them. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) enters and Nick says he is interrupting, but Sharon wants to hear all about Rey’s new bed. Nick heads inside. He watches as Sharon goes with Rey to see his mattress. Later, Ashley Abbott sits on the patio. Victoria goes and chats with her. Victoria understands what Ashley is going through.

At the Athletic Club, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) chat. She let’s him know how Summer Newman (Hunter King) busted up her date with Kyle Abbott. Arturo points out how she tried to hit on him before and make trouble for him and Abby Newman. Abby joins them and Lola leaves. Abby chats about her family drama with Arturo.

At the police station, Sharon McAvoy gives Rey Rosales new sheets for his bed. Talk turns to Nick Newman. Sharon thinks they have turned a corner. Sharon then makes a dinner date on the phone with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). After, Sharon fills him in on Mariah and Cassie. Sharon gets a text and jumps up and leaves.

Nick Searches For Dirt On Rey

Over at Dark Horse, Nick Newman gets Abby Newman alone and asks her about the bad blood between Rey Rosales and Arturo Rosales. Abby realizes he just wants information on Rey so he can spy on Sharon McAvoy. Abby says she will see what she can do to see why Rey is so interested in Sharon.

At Jabot, Dina Mergeron wants to know where John Abbott is. Kyle Abbott reminds her they came to look for a safe. Dina tells him the safe is behind a panel in the wall. Kyle locates it and Dina tells him the combination is her birthday. He opens it as Dina claps.

Sharon And Victoria’s Shocking Email

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman finishes up a call as Sharon McAvoy walks in and tells her to check her email. Victoria finds an email with the subject line being “We’re not through.” Sharon let’s her know the others got it too. It says in the email if they do not pay the remainder of the money the police will find out what’s buried underneath here. An attached photo shows the statue in Chancellor Park. And that’s a wrap.
