The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, October 12: A Cornered Ashley Freaks, Admits Truth – Reveals Jack Is John Abbott’s Son

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, October 12, 2018, reveals that over at Jabot, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) opens an envelope and takes off after reading what’s inside.

Traci Does Not Believe Ashley Would Do Anything Unethical

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) fills Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) in on Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) suspicious dealings with Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Traci does not believe Ashley would ever do anything unethical.

Ashely Rants Jack and Kyle Are Out To Get her

At the Athletic Club, Ashley Abbott rants to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott are out to get her. Traci Abbott interrupts them to speak to Ashley alone. Traci says she is worried about her father’s company. Traci wants Ashley to come clean if she’s in trouble.

Lola Kisses Kyle

Over at Crimson Lights, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and Kyle Abbott are out on the patio. Lola feeds a blindfolded Kyle some sandwich samples then kisses him. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) arrives and says hello to Lola and asks Kyle what he is doing with her boyfriend’s little sister. Kyle explains they have had a few dates. Abby doesn’t think Lola is his type. Kyle says he has never dated anyone like her.

The Cover Up Crew Being Blackmailed

Inside, Phyllis Summers shows Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) her latest note which reads, “If you don’t want anyone to find out what you did, it will cost you.” The first digit is 2. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) appears and asks what is so fascinating. Phyllis snaps about him sneaking up on people and Rey points out that she is in Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place of business.

Victoria comes back at him and says he is spending more time investigating their personal lives than doing his job. Rey walks off. Phyllis is impressed with Victoria’s bitchiness. Jack Abbott joins Kyle out on the patio. They talk about Ashley Abbott. Kyle says the payments started before Ashley became CEO and the board needs to know. Back inside, Phyllis and Victoria speculate about the note.

At Dark Horse, Abby Newman tells Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) that she wants to plan a double date with Lola Rosales and her cousin Kyle Abbott. Arturo thinks he seems like a player, but Abby reassures him. Jack Abbott appears and tells Abby there is a board meeting at Jabot.

Jack Calls A Board Meeting

Jack Abbott goes to the Athletic Club and informs Ashley Abbott and Traci Abbott of the board meeting to dicuss Type A Consulting.

In the office of Jabot, Jack Abbott begins the meeting and Kyle Abbott explains the issue with Type A Consulting and tells about Andrew saying he had damaging information. Ashley walks to the door and brings in Andrew. She says she and Andrew have been working in anti-cancer anti-aging product. Phyllis arrives and asks Andrew what he is doing at Jabot. Phyllis reveals that Andrew told her he worked at the hospital’s DNA lab.

Ashley Admits The Truth, Jack Is John’Abbott’s Son

Abby Newman then asks her mother why she would hire him to work on cosmetics. Ashley hollers to everyone to leave, but Jack yells louder and offers to pay Andrew 10 times what his sister paid him to know the truth. As Jack persists, Ashley screams enough. She says she will tell him what he wants to know for free then reveals she hired Andrew to handle his paternity results and knows who his father is. She then tells Jack that he has been John Abbott’s son all along.

Rey Does A Background Check on Kyle

Back over at Crimson Lights, Lola Rosales celebrates getting into the Harvest Festival. Arturo appears and wonders if she will be celebrating with Kyle Abbott. She doesn’t like his protectiveness. Rey Rosales appears and pulls out his phone to do a background check. Arturo spells his last name. Rey learns Kyle was arrested and Arturo is shocked that he is a grave robber. Lola defends Kyle. Lola says she doesn’t need their approval.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman receives a note identical to Phyllis Summers’ except it says the third digit is 0. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs!
