The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, May 18: Phyllis Afraid Jack Will Go Back To The Dark Side

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, May 18, 2018, reveals that over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are in bed and chat about their uncomplicated fun arrangement. They start kissing and make love. After, Sharon wants to order pizza, but Nick remembers it’s the night of the New Hope dinner. They quickly get ready.

Phyllis Tells Nikki Victoria Confessed

Over at the Athletic Club, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) takes a call from Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni). Phyllis informs Nikki that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) confessed to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson).

Devon Asks Hilary To Dinner

Up at Hamilton-Winters Group, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) tells Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that she is in on the nursery plans. Devon grins and says he wants the best for their child. He does not believe it will take multiple times for her to conceive. Devon invites Hilary to come along to the New Hope dinner.

Phyllis Afraid Jack Will Go Back To The Dark Side

Over at Jabot, Phyllis Summers goes to see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). They chat about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Phyllis is afraid Jack will go back to his dark side. They discuss his past addiction. Billy wants Phyllis to come along with him to the New Hope dinner and she accepts.

Jack Reaches Out To Neil For Help

At the Abbott cabin, Jack contemplates a glass of scotch along with some painkillers and suddenly makes a call stating he needs help. It’s not long until Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) arrives. Jack updates him about what has been going on. Neil says he will help Jack get through this and then asks if he has taken any of the painkillers. Jack don’t know who he is anymore but Neil tells him he’s the same Jack Abbott that he started a foundation with. Talk turns to who altered the video. Then Neil warns Jack if he takes the pills then he will go down with him, but Jack will not let Neil break his sobriety. Neil leaves.

Nick Gets Jealous

The New Hope dinner gets underway and Nikki Newman interacts with Devon Hamilton and Hilary Curtis before greeting others. Nick Newman and Sharon McAvoy arrive. Nikki wants Nick to flirt with one of the potential donors. Sharon keeps eyeing Nick and the potential donor. Phyllis Summers encourages Sharon to snap up one of the male donors. Then they meet up with Nikki to discuss what Victoria Newman told Paul Williams. Nikki insists Victoria was backed into a corner. Phyllis warns them they must be careful because it is not over. After, Sharon and Nick can’t keep their eyes off one another while sitting at the table. When the male donor puts his arm around Sharon Nick says he is leaving and Sharon states she is too.

Hilary Fills Phyllis In On Her News

Over at the Bar, Hilary Curtis fills Phyllis Summers in on the latest with her and Devon Hamilton. Nikki Newman and Billy Abbott are concerned about Jack and Hilary jump in with her concern as well. Billy meets back up with Phyllis and they talk about work. Devon and Hilary meet back up and they talk about raising the baby. Phyllis and Billy interrupt to say their goodbyes. Devon and Hilary leave as well.

Nick and Sharon Decide To Become Official

Back at Sharon McAvoy’s, Nick makes remarks about the male donor while Sharon comes back at him about the female donor. Nick reveals he is not interested in dating. He says he could not keep his mind off Sharon the whole night and can not be friends with benefits. Nick wants it all or nothing. Sharon wants it all too. They kiss. And that’s a wrap.
