The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, July 13: Jill Furious, Jack Explains Kyle’s Actions

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, July 13, 2018 reveals that over at the Abbott place, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) informs Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that the lab will have the DNA results by the end of the night. The doorbell rings and it’s Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and she is highly upset. She wants to know where Kyle is and wants Jack to let go of thinking he is Phillip Chancellor’s son.

She goes on about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) not being in her right mind. Kyle tries to apologize but she is not buying it. Kyle leaves. Jack sits down with Jill and tries to make her understand his point. He even brings up her being in the same position before. She finally admits she understands and they go for a drink at the club.

At Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) visits with Christian. She says she misses Christian and Nick tells her she can come and see him anytime but Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) visits will be limited. They bicker about the way Victor hurt Sharon during the custody battle. Nikki says Victor is not himself but Nick feels like he is getting his karma.

Over at Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) is shocked when she learns Victor Newman is going to meet J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). She does not want him to go due to his health issues. She wonders if J.T. is planing on killing Victor. Victor wants her to leave it to him to settle things. He wants her to keep it secret. They hug. He leaves and she texts someone.

At Hamilton-Winters Group, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) wants Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) to get some rest. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) arrives. Hilary is not happy about him being there but Devon points out he invited him. Devon receives a text from Kyle Abbott and confirms the Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) – Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) mission is on. Devon tells Hilary that Nate is joining him at a recording session. Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and Devon chat about Neil Winters new server acquisition.

Devon is not sure it was the right decision. Lily thinks his loyalty is misplaced. Hilary sides with Devon and Nate sides with Lily. Lily snarks to Hilary that she is not even on the board and is not Devon’s wife. As they bicker Tessa and Mariah give each other a look. Devon receives another text from Kyle and sends Mariah and Tessa to check out something missing on the rooftop. When they arrive Kyle let’s them know there was no robbery. Then adds he and Devon arranged for them to watch a movie under the stars. They realize they have been set up but stay anyway.

Over at the Athletic Club, Nikki Newman rants at Jill Abbott about the sculpture in the park. Jack Abbott intervenes. Jill points out she is there to deal with Kyle Abbott digging up Phillip Chancellor’s grave. Nikki gets filled in and points out Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) would have left the company to Jack if she had known. Nikki gets a text from Victoria Newman informing her that Victor Newman has gone to meet J.T. Hellstrom and she takes off.

Nikki Newman storms in to Newman Enterprises and goes off about Victor Newman being stubborn. Victoria calls Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) to update her. Nikki calls Nick Newman. They agree to clue Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) in.

Back over at the Abbott’s, Jill Abbott learns that Jack Abbott is no longer living there. Kyle Abbott arrives and Jill tells him he is lucky that his father talked her down. Just then the DNA results arrive. Jill exclaims “What the hell?”

A gloved hand removes a gun from a safe. Later in an alley, Victor Newman waits and checks his watch. J.T. Hellstrom appears at the other end of the Alley. Victor says he has been waiting for this moment. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
