The Young and the Restless Poll: What Will Victor Do? – Moustache’s Return To Genoa City Imminent

With whatever one thinks of the ‘Moustache’, he remains a difference-maker in Genoa City on ‘The Young and the Restless’. As Y&R gets set to write the still-lead male character back to town a key question remains, what will Victor (Eric Braeden) do when he returns?

In real life, Braeden took a well-earned vacation that lasted a number of weeks. Soap opera shooting schedules allowed Victor’s absence to not be overly noticeable and to be referenced as a business trip. So, what was the ‘Black Knight’ doing in early fall? As importantly, how will he handle family-related matters upon his return?

Before addressing Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) building peril, let’s consider Dark Horse. Victor has already told Vickie (Amelia Heinle) that he’s allowing Nick (Joshua Morrow) to build the proposed rival so that it can be taken down, or over when the time is right.

Considering his obsessively competitive nature, there’s no doubt that Victor was restoring varied Newman Enterprises connections, while also tapping allies to battle Nick. The younger Newman is not naive and could well have been aware of his father’s machinations during preceding weeks and has been countering those efforts.

As far as personal business, it seems as though Victor genuinely isn’t aware of what happened to J.T. (Thad Luckinbill). That also means he’s yet to learn that his wife accidentally killed their almost again-son-in-law who left him for dead earlier this year.

Clearly, Victor will be upset at having been kept in the dark. He’ll also rush to Nikki’s defense, using any means necessary to prevent her incarceration. Then, of course, he’ll eventually express gratitude to his true love for having defended their daughter and in having permanently handled this threat to the Newman family.

Will Victor learn what Nikki did in the immediate future? If that happens, will he push the blackmailer out of the Wisconsin weeds and stop that person, or group, cold?

Finally, if Nikki (and possibly, Vickie, Amelia Heinle) is (are) arrested, will Victor be able to help one, or both avoid being sent to prison?
