The Young and the Restless News: Meet Noemi Gonzalez as Newcomer Mia Rosales

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) news reveals Noemi Gonzalez has joined the cast of the CBS soap opera as Mia Rosales and will make her first on-screen appearance on Monday, November 12, 2018, and you do not want to miss it!

The Powers That Be at Young and the Restless explain how different it was to find someone to play Mia, with many auditions but no one quite fitting the bill, until Noemi Gonzalez walked in the door. Noemi explains to Y&R sources that it was a same-day audition, but everything just jived with her and felt it was a “wonderful” experience.

Apparently, the casting director felt the same way because the very next day she had a chemistry read, followed by a reading with castmates Sharon Case, who portrays Sharon Newman and Jordi Vilasuso, who portrays her estranged husband, Rey Rosales.

Y&R sources reveal Noemi received the call at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with her rep teasing her, making her even more nervous than she already was; demanding to know what she did at the test, before revealing she got booked for the role! She admits there has been no time to celebrate because a few minutes after her rep called, production requested for her to pick up her scripts, with plenty to learn by Tuesday.

If Noemi Gonzalez looks familiar to you, you might recognize her from her work on other primetime series like East Los High as Soli Gomez (2013-2017), The Kicks as Coach Maria Flores (2015/16), Rosewood as Leticia Covarrubias (2016) as well as roles in movies like The Vatican Tapes (Maria, 2015) and Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (Evette Arista, 2014).
