Braeden revealed today to TV Insider that he has taken several weeks off from filming so that he can spend September in his native Germany.
The Victor Newman actor explained, “It is the 60th anniversary of winning the German Youth Championship. I was javelin, discus, and shot put champion. I’m seeing some of my fellow athletes for the first time in 60 years!”

So far it is unclear if the soap will write in a temporary exit for Victor, or just wait it out until the actor returns. It seems they will have to do something to address why he won’t be on screen seeing as how Victor is a central cast member. Regardless, there’s no need to panic, Eric made it pretty clear that his time off will only be temporary.
