The Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Two Leading Men Say Good-Bye

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that two men are leaving Genoa City after involved in more than their fair share of trouble. Actor Daniel Hall, who played Scott, and Max Shippee, who played the villainous Graham, have been written out of the soap.

According to reports, Daniel’s contract has been demoted to recurring status, which means we will only get to see Scott once every blue moon. He was forced to say one last good-bye to Abby before leaving to Paris for an important assignment. Apparently, it’s a new job that will keep him away from Genoa City indefinitely.

And as many fans know, Graham is a goner, too. After he tried to murder Dina, the matriarch of the Abbott family turned the table on him, with him accidentally injected himself with poison.

For Max though, he wasn’t expecting such a sudden departure. He told CBS Soaps in Depth, “I was surprised because the storyline did kind of ramp up really quickly. But what’s great is I can put on my resume that I’ve been in a soap, been in a sauna, and because of the poison, I’ve been in a coma! Being in a coma on a soap opera is, as far as life goals go, solid!”

Max also added that he will forever be grateful for his experience on the show. He also hinted that he would be back on The Young and the Restless in a heartbeat, should Graham’s evil twin show up somewhere in Genoa City. Now that would be interesting to see!
