The Young and the Restless Christel Khalil Status Change To Recurring – Lily Headed To Prison?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Christel Adnana Khalil, who has portrayed character, Lily Winters Ashby on the CBS soap opera, has announced on her personal Instagram page that she has opted to drop to recurring status from full-time. How do you feel about seeing less of Lily Ashby on Y&R?

Y&R sources show christeladnana shared a beautifully posed photo, along with this message for all her fans, “Hello Lovelies! I wanted you to be the first to know that if you see less of me on Y&R, it’s because I have decided to switch from full time to recurring status.”

Khalil goes on to reassure The Young and the Restless viewers that this does not mean she is leaving the daytime drama, it simply means she is ready for other opportunities and to explore new things. She graciously thanks her fans for all the love and support she has received over the last 16 years she portrayed Lily.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that this announcement comes at a very interesting time, as Christel Khalil’s character is about to face her sentencing hearing for her part in the accident resulting in the death of her arch enemy, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) as well as her unborn baby.

Unfortunately for Lily, she is currently the one with a target on her back; although the car crash was accidental, there was no love loss between the women and she is now criminally charged with two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle (vehicular homicide).

Fans of the CBS soap opera feel Christel Khalil could have dropped to recurring status because her character will be receiving the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; but that remains to be seen. With her brother, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) so angry and heartbroken, there is no saying whether he will change his mind on his vengeful vendetta against his sister.
