The Young and the Restless Alum Nichelle Nichols’ Son Kyle Shares Devastating News

The Young and the Restless alum Nichelle Nichols’ son has some very sad news to share with her fans. The talented and beautiful actress son recently revealed that she is suffering from severe memory loss. Nichelle briefly played the role of Lucinda Winters, Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) on-screen mother. She is also known for her role as Lieutenant Uhura in Star Trek.

According to TMZ, her son Kyle Johnson is not only worried about her mental health but her current state of affairs. He feels as though Nichelle might be taken advantage of by other people in her lives. That’s why he is currently fighting to protect her. He filed documents nominating 4 fiduciaries to become his mother’s conservatives.

As a matter of fact, Nichelle’s son released a statement to the media about her declining health. He wrote, “(Dementia) is impacting her executive functioning” and also said that “certain individuals shave unduly exerted themselves into Mrs. Nichols life to her detriment.”

So far producers from The Young and the Restless have made no comments about Nichelle’s state. It’s without a doubt that Nichelle’s fans wish her nothing but the best and as her friends and family members remain by her side. She’s a wonderful actress who has been in the entertainment business for many years. Her fans have enjoyed seeing her both on and off screen. In the meantime, our thoughts are definitely with Nichelle, her son Kyle and their entire family as they go through this very difficult time in their lives.
