The Young and the Restless Alum Jessica Collins Gets New Gig – Will It Lead To Y&R Comeback?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) alum Jessica Collins shared on Twitter that she is returning to acting after leaving the soapy drama in 2015.  She has been busy being a mom to her adorable baby, but now, she said she is ready to go back to work.

Many Y&R fans hope this means that Avery Clark could be coming back to Genoa City.  Here’s what we know about her return to acting so far.

Jessica’s comeback airs tonight

The Young and the Restless alum shared that she will appear on Grey’s Anatomy tonight on ABC.  It sounds like it is a one-episode stint, but the viewers hope it could lead to more.  She teased in her Twitter post that “good stuff” is coming, starting with the Grey’s appearance.  It sounds like she may have other stuff in the works.

Is a Y&R comeback in the works?

While Jessica did not confirm at a Young and the Restless comeback, it didn’t take long for the dedicated fans to suggest that Avery should come back to Genoa City to make a play for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).  One thing most of the Y&R fans agreed with was that if Avery returns, she would definitely shake things up.

One fan pointed out that the fact Nick is getting caught in Phyllis’(Gina Tognoni) web again, it seems like the perfect time to bring Avery back in the mix.  Nick loved Avery at one time and old feelings could resurface.  It could really pump the breaks on Nick and Phyllis’ reunion, or their tricky friends with benefits arrangement.
