The Bold and the Beautiful Star Obba Babatunde Headed To Primetime

It looks like some of our favorite stars from The Bold and the Beautiful are making their transition from daytime television to primetime. And for fans, that’s a good thing because that means they get to see even more of them on the small screen. According to new reports, actor Obba Babatunde, who plays Julius Avant on the show, has just booked an exciting new gig.

Obba will be guest starring on the highly acclaimed show, S.W.A.T. As many soap fans already know, the show stars The Young and the Restless alumni Shema Moore. In an episode titled Patrol, Obba will play Shemar’s on-screen father. Talk about excitement! It’s very rare that you get to see two huge soap stars cross over to primetime drama together.

Shemar’s character will confront his father and all of the long-held resentment he has towards him. Even though Obba’s character is in bad shape and failing health, both Hondo and his sister will try to convince their fad that he’s no longer well enough to live. Fans will just have to tune in to find out what will happen next. The episode is expected to air on CBS on Thursday night. Check your local listing for times.

In the meantime, producers haven’t made any comments as to when we might be seeing Julius Avant back on The Bold and the Beautiful. Here’s hoping that it will be sooner rather than later!
