The Bold and the Beautiful history proves that no couple is safe, and happy endings are few and far between. B&B fans know that Rick and Maya’s wedded bliss is only temporary, and it was only a matter of time before a wrench was thrown in to their relationship.

Lawrence St. Victor is back, and Carter Walton recently professed his love for his former fiance Maya. Of course, she has a rich husband and adorable niece/daughter now and won’t be willing to give them up that easily. However, Carter’s arrival seems to foreshadow some trouble down the road for the couple in 2018.
And, The Bold and The Beautiful fans have also noticed Rick’s strangely close connection to Maya’s sister Nicole [Reign Edwards]. Between Carter knocking at the front door and Nicole knocking on the back, Rick and Maya’s marriage seems to have a looming expiration date. Rumors indicate that 2018 will be a rough year for the couple, and by the time it is over, they will most likely no longer be together.
