The Bold and the Beautiful RECAP Wednesday May 9: Steffy Shocked, Hope Tells Her She’s Marrying Liam

“The Bold and the Beautiful” (BB) recap for Wednesday, May 9, 2018, reveals that over at Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) talk about the annulment papers. Hope tells him it is okay if he is having second thoughts, but he assures her he is not.

Liam Signs The Annulment Papers

Liam tells Hope he is ready to start a life with her and be happy and says there is only one thing left to do. Hope walks out. Liam flashes back to his time with Steffy Forrester Spencer (Jacqueline Wood). Liam signs the papers and the doorbell rings and it’s the guy there to pick up the papers so they can be filed.

Liam and Hope Announce Their Engagement To The Forresters

Brooke walks in and says she knows what he decided. Hope re-enters the room and Liam tells Brooke he needs to talk to her and would love to talk to Deacon Sharpe to if he wasn’t in prison. Hope says you are not going to believe but we are engaged to her mother. She looks stunned. She congratulates them. Brooke wants to know if Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) misunderstood him about going back to Steffy. He talks about how his dad ruined his relationship. Then goes on to talk about his love for Hope. Rick (Jacob Young) and Maya Forrester (Karla Mosley) come downstairs. Hope tells them the news and they are happy for them. Rick tells them he had a feeling they were headed that way, but he hopes that his sister is not just a rebound. Liam assures him she is not.

Ridge Convinced Bill Sabotaged Steffy’s Marriage

Over at the cliff house, Steffy Forrester Spencer is on the phone leaving Liam Spencer a message begging him to call her back. She is confused by the sudden change of heart. Ridge Forrester walks in. They talk about how Liam suddenly changed his mind about coming home. Ridge wants to go talk to Liam, but Steffy tells him it will not do any good. Steffy tells Ridge how Liam sent the flowers and all he did when he said he was coming home. They wonder if something triggered him. Ridge has the theory that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is behind it all and trying to sabotage her marriage. Ridge reminds Steffy that Bill is obsessed with her. Ridge says someone put doubt in Liam’s head and Steffy tells him that Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) said Bill and Liam haven’t talked.

Liam Tells Ridge His Marriage Is Over

Ridge Forrester goes to Forrester Creations and Liam Spencer arrives to see him. Ridge tells Liam that his wife has been trying to get in touch with him and questions him about what happened. Liam tells Ridge that he found out that his daughter and his father was still involved. Ridge argues their not. Liam says he cannot live always wondering if he is getting the truth or not and tells Ridge his marriage is actually over and he filed the annulment papers. Then he goes on to tell him he proposed to Hope Logan.

Brooke and Hope Have A Mother/Daughter Talk

After everyone is gone Brooke Logan Forrester and Hope Logan have a mother to daughter talk. Brooke is concerned because it is a complicated situation she and Liam Spencer are in. Brooke says she does not question Hope’s feelings and sure it will work out.

Hope Tells Steffy She And Liam Are Getting Married

Steffy Forrester Spencer barges in looking for Liam. Hope hides her arms behind her back. They tell Steffy Liam is at Forrester than she tells Hope she needs to talk to her first. Hope agrees to talk to her. Steffy fills her in on what has been going on and wants her to talk to Liam for her. Steffy spots the ring and wants to know why she is wearing it. Hope tells her after years of interference to keep her and Liam apart they have decided they aren’t putting up with it anymore and then tells her that she and Liam are getting married. Steffy is in shock.
