General Hospital spoilers tease that we might be seeing fan favorite Rebecca Budig (Hayden Barnes) back sooner rather than later. In fact, a new report says that General Hospital executive producers say that Rebecca’s return is “definitely a possibility.”

So here’s what we know: ABC executive Nathan Varni tells ABC Soaps in Depth that Rebecca might be reprising her role as Hayden Barnes. The last time we say Hayden was back in September of 2017. She wrote Finn a letter apologizing for leaving him at the altar before she disappeared for good.
And now Nathan Varni says that General Hospital writers are open to exploring that storyline once again. “I think it’s definitely a possibility,” Nathan told the publication in an interview. “As you know, we left Hayden telling Finn she lost the baby but the reality of the situation was that she did not lose the baby. So I think with that cliffhanger, there’s definitely room to perhaps one day play that again. Obviously no guarantees.”
Plus, Rebecca herself has made it no secret that she would love to come back to the General Hospital set. She’s been spending a lot of time with her former co-stars recently and even shared a photo with another soap legend, Cameron Mathison. As many of Rebecca’s fans know, she first started her soap career on Guiding Light. Her biggest role though was as Greenlee Smythe on All My Children. It’s without that Rebecca’s fans would love to see her on the small screen again. In the meantime, we’ll just have to continue tuning in to General Hospital to find out what will happen next!
