Neighbours Spoilers: Izzy’s Shocking Return, Everything You Should Know!

The Neighbours news that Natalie Bassingthwaighte is returning to Ramsay Street has had fans buzzing since October and by the sounds of things it’s going to be very exciting!

The 42-year-old actress, singer and presenter will reprise her role of Izzy Hoyland, one of the most memorable Neighbours characters of last decade. Known as a femme fatale homewrecker, bad girl Izzy will return to Erinsborough for an extended guest appearance this year.

Fans have been willing Natalie to return to the soap ever since she left, but she will finally be making her first reappearance in an unmissable one-hour special to be aired in February. As promos released by the official Neighbours team show, Izzy is back to go head-to-head with Karl and Susan Kennedy (Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne).

Of course, Izzy is perhaps best remembered for her affair with Karl from 2003 to 2004, and was last seen on our screens in 2007 when she announced that Karl was in fact the father of her daughter Holly. Fans can therefore expect much drama and excitement when Izzy once again comes face to face with fan favourites the Kennedy’s.

Although she’s not giving much away about her upcoming storyline, the actress did make comments regarding her return on her Instagram profile. She wrote, “IZZY IS BACK!!! Excited to announce I am bringing Izzy back for a mini. It has been so fun being back on set and can’t wait for you to see what shenanigans she is up to now. If you loved to hate her before, you will love to hate her even more!!!! @neighbours”. Exciting, right?

To tease fans further, Natalie admitted that her character will get close to someone. “I do have a bedroom scene,” she revealed, adding, “I feel like an old hand at it now. It feels kind of normal, which is weird.” Will Karl be weak to her womanly charms again, or will she be bedding someone new on Ramsay Street?
