Feeling guilty for not moving in with Aaron as planned, David realises he needs to do something big to prove his love. Inspired by Sonya and Toadies romantic vow renewal, he decides that this ‘something big’ is a proposal. And so, dressed as cupid, he gets down on one knee and asks Aaron to marry him.
Neighbours Spoilers say that Amy and Leo try persuading their brother that it’s too soon, but he clearly doesn’t agree with them. You should always listen to your siblings though, as Aaron rejects him and runs away!
To be fair, David’s timing was terrible. Aarons family are going through a very bad time as Tyler is set to be jailed for Hamish’s murder. On top of this, Aaron is still feeling guilty about seeing Rory in Paris and not telling David the whole truth about it – and guess who’s currently in Erinsborough…? That’s right, Rory!

But will Aaron and David make amends and eventually get engaged to be married? Now that Australia has voted to legalise same-sex marriage, fans are hoping to see the first Aussie soap gay wedding on Neighbours!
However, though he would love to see a same-sex wedding on the show, producer Jason Herbison says that fans shouldn’t be getting too excited just yet.
Speaking to Inside Soap he said “I’m particularly thrilled that we’ll soon have the option of celebrating all relationships in our community. But that’s not to say David and Aaron will make it to the altar – we also believe in equality when putting challenges and hurdles in front of our characters!”
Even before the vote was cast last year, actors Matt Wilson and Takaya – who play Aaron and David respectively – were calling for the writers to write a same-sex marriage storyline, with Matt adding that he’d love to see the couple have a baby too.

“Oh yeah, I want to see them go the whole hog!” he said. “I want them to get married and own their own house on Ramsay Street, and maybe even have a baby.”
