General Hospital Star Steve Burton Dishes On Playing Jason Morgan

General Hospital star Steve Burton is making it no secret that he’s happy where he is right now – and that’s at home in Port Charles. As a matter of fact, the handsome actor, who plays Jason Morgan on the hit ABC show, says that he’s having a great time portraying his character and that he wouldn’t change anything about his current role right now.

Speaking to ABC Soaps in Depth, Steve says that his excitement over reprising his role as Jason hasn’t dwindled down at all. That’s because there are so many twists and turns to his storyline, keeping him both on his feet and ready for action at all times.

He told the publication, “Obviously, the excitement of coming back and reuniting with the family, crew and friends was a little more heightened. But I’m still excited to get up every day and go to work. You can’t have more of a blessing that than.”

But if there’s one thing he does want to change, it’s have more on screen time with his co-star James Patrick Stuart, who plays Valentin on the soap. He says that while fans might think that James is like his on screen character, that’s not the case at all.

Steve explained, “That’s what makes his scenes so fascinating. We’re having a conversation and then I’ll see him shoot scenes as Valentin. That’s not James, dude! Valentin’s not the best guy in the world.. but you see a vulnerability there.”
