General Hospital Star Maurice Benard Shares Sad News With His Fans

General Hospital star Maurice Benard has shared some very sad personal news with his fans. And it’s something that a lot of his General Hospital fans can relate to as many have dealt with a similar loss in their personal lives. Maurice revealed that his furry family member has passed away. The actor called him his best friend in life.

Maurice shared a photo of his dog on Instagram and captioned it with, “Sometimes life throws you a curve ball well life through me a home run. He was my partner my best friend and he was my buddy. Rest in peace, my sweet boy.”

It didn’t take Maurice’s fans and social media followers very long to show their support and love. Quite a few posted messages such as, “I’m truly sorry for your loss! I know the pain of losing a fur baby,” along with, “Lost my girl last week. 8 days without my sweet girl for 16 1/2 years. So sorry. I cry still.”

Another person wrote, “Awwwww he’s so cute. He’s gone over the rainbow bridge to meet other friends that are waiting for him.”

If that weren’t enough, Maurice’s character Sonny Corinthos is also dealing with a lot of emotional baggage on screen, too. He’s trying to navigate his emotions while helping his father Mike deal with his failing mental health. According to Maurice, it has been one of the toughest storylines that he’s had to deal with in a very long time. Of course, viewers will just have to tune in to find out what will happen between Sonny and Mike next.
