General Hospital Star Lexi Ainsworth Dishes On Kristina’s Return To Port Charles

General Hospital star Lexi Ainsworth is opening up about her return to Port Charles. The actress, who plays Kristina Corinthos on the hit soap, says that she didn’t want to let any of her fans down and that’s why she’s making sure that her comeback is one worth watching.

The last time fans saw Kristina on the small screen, there was a love triangle brewing between her, Parker [Ashley Jones] and Valerie Spencer [Brytni Sarpy].

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Lexi opened up about her past storyline and how it was truncated, much to the dismay of her fans. That’s because Lexi landed a multi-episode gig on Major Crimes and had difficulty pulling in double duty for both shows.

She says, “I think because of the storyline itself, not just me and my character, it was a bigger deal than when I’ve left the show before. I was really proud of the writers and producers for wanting to do the storyline, because I think it’s an important one and I kind of developed an LGBTQIA fan base from that, which I’m really grateful for.”

But the actress says that all is not lost and that she plans on picking up where she left off. Lexi added, “It was a bit of a bummer. I think for everyone. It was hard, I didn’t want to let any of my fans down. But everything always works out the way it’s supposed to, and here we are again. And I’m pretty sure that we are going to pick that right back up again.”
