General Hospital star Laura Wright has every reason to be both proud and happy these days. Not only is her career on fire, thanks to her great storyline on General Hospital, but she also has a lot to be thankful for at home too, thanks to her beautiful and very supportive family.
The actress recently shared a rare photo of her son, John Michael Wright. She captioned it with, “This 17yr old young man fills my heart … #gratefulfortimetogether ( I’m sure he’ll ask me to take this pic down haaa).”
While Laura doesn’t share many photos of her two children, John and Lauren on social media, she does share plenty of behind-the-scenes snaps of her life at home.

Back in October, the blonde beauty opened up about her life as a single mom and the transitions she had to go through before getting to where she is today. She divorced her ex-husband, John Wright back in 2014 and according to Laura, it was one of the most difficult moments of her life.
Laura told Soap Opera Digest, “It’s a very interesting process, you know, to be in your 40s, getting divorced, being on a TV show, having kids going off to college and have to go, ‘Wow, who am I now?’ Believe me, I tried to run from it, probably for the first year and a half. You know the big ball that chases Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark? For me, that was pain and fear and loneliness and insecurity and feeling unworthy, all that stuff.”
She added, “Everyone knows what I’m talking about — I don’t care if you’re on a soap opera, everyone has their stuff. Going through a transition like your marriage ending and your kids becoming more independent, all of those insecurities and fears have a spotlight shined on them. That big ball chasing me, I finally had to learn to stop running from it.”
