General Hospital Star Laura Wright Shares Heartbreaking News

The holidays are usually a very joyous occasion but unfortunately, General Hospital star Laura Wright has just shared some very devastating news about her personal life. The actress revealed that her father Rector Sisk has passed away, and only a few short months after Laura’s mother Betty passed away, too. Here’s what we know.

Laura, who is best known for her role as Carly Corinthos on General Hospital, shared several photos of her parents on her Instagram account. She posted the last photo that was taken of Rector and Betty Sisk side by side and captioned it with, “Together is a beautiful place to be. RIP Dad. I love you.”

It didn’t take very long for Laura’s social media followers to show their support and share their condolences online with the actress. She has been getting comments on her Instagram page that have included, “So sorry to hear about your loss. Sending prayers for you and your family,” along with, “Your loss takes me right back to losing my parents 8 weeks apart. To this day I felt like I was walking through a thick fog. My Dad did not want to live without my Mom. Sorry for your loss.”

So far Laura has not made any additional comments about her father’s death or if she will be taking any time off from her filming schedule at General Hospital. But seeing how these last few months have been difficult for her, it wouldn’t be surprising if Laura did take some personal time off to mourn the loss of both of her parents. We send our heartfelt condolences to her during this very difficult time.
