General Hospital Star Kelly Monaco Recovering From Major Surgery

General Hospital star and fan favorite Kelly Monaco took to Instagram to reveal that she has recently left the hospital and is recovering from a pretty big surgery.

The Sam Morgan portrayer opened up to her followers and revealed that she has been in pain for quite a while due to an injury in her hip, and she finally took the necessary steps to repair it and get back in action.

Monaco posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed, appearing exhausted, yet in pretty upbeat spirits.  Kelly explained “After over a decade of suffering from chronic, excruciating pain from a torn labrum in my hip, I have finally taking the first steps in bettering my health and myself. Looking forward to MANY positive changes coming soon!”

She went on to thank those close to her for helping her through her surgery and recovery.  So far it is unclear if Kelly’s time in the hospital will affect her stint as Sam McCall on GH, and whether or not she will be taking any time off from work.
