General Hospital Star Kelly Monaco Front Runner For Daytime Emmy Best Actress Nomination

General Hospital’s very own Kelly Monaco (Sam Cain) is already a frontrunner for this year’s Daytime Emmy Best Actress award. As a matter of fact, it looks like this year finally belongs to Kelly, who plays Sam on the highly rated ABC soap.

According to Gold Derby, Kelly’s odds are looking very good. Even though the official list of nominations won’t be made available until March 21, Kelly is hotly tipped as the one actress to beat. That’s because she’s had quite the year at Port Charles.

Sam has been in the middle of her very own love triangle between her former partner, Jason (Steve Burton) and her current husband, Drew. (Billy Miller) Jason shocked everyone when he came back to Port Charles with what many viewers call a very action-packed memory mapping saga storyline. Now that everyone knows Jason is Jason and Drew is Drew, Sam is still feeling conflicted. Even though Sam knows in her heart that she belongs with Jason, she’s fiercely loyal to Drew, who she has been all throughout Jason’s absence.

A lot of viewers believe that Sam deserves to win this year’s Daytime Emmy Best Actress awards. There’s also no denying that she has incredible chemistry with her co-star, Billy Miller. She’s been delivering one memorable performance after another in what has been the most exciting storyline viewers have seen in a very long time.

Several other General Hospital actresses also have a chance at winning a nomination alongside Kelly Monaco. They include Nancy Grahn (Alexis Davis), Maura West (Ava Jerome) and Laura Wright. (Carly Corinthos) It’s without a doubt that Kelly’s fans are very excited for her!
