General Hospital Spoilers: Wes Ramsey Says A Maxie And Peter Romance Could Be Happening

General Hospital star Wes Ramsey says that despite everything that has happened, Peter August still cares very deeply for Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms].

In a new interview with ABC Soaps in Depth, the actor says that even though Peter is responsible for brining back Cesar Faison to Port Charles, which led to the death of Nathan West, Peter is still trying to win over Maxie. And while he admits that it will be hard, it might not be impossible.

“There’s a lot of sadness and a lot of regret,” the actor Soaps In Depth in his interview. “Peter obviously still cares very deeply for her. The tragedy that brought them together and the intensity of the emotion in the aftermath of Nathan’s death was such a strong bonding experience. I don’t think Peter had any idea that was going to happen — nor did Maxie.”

The one thing that has made him change – and even made him a little bit softer – is how he was treated in the hands of Obrecht. Peter never experienced such cruelty in his life.

Wes added, “The pain, the infection, the starvation, the sweat, the smell… they tortured him! But that allowed me to step away from Peter August, the suit-wearing Aurora CEO and puppeteer who was getting away with everything and out-smarting everybody. It was certainly humbling to find the complete other side of the spectrum and show Peter’s vulnerability when he was facing his own mortality and his own remorse!
