General Hospital Spoilers: Oscar Furious With Kim For Hiding His Illness – Causes Major Rift Between Mother, Son

General Hospital spoilers tease that Kim’s (Tamara Braun) secret about Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) terminal condition won’t be a well-kept secret for long. Now that Drew (Billy Miller), Sam (Kelly Monaco), and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) know the truth, it probably won’t be long until others find out as well.

Of course, there’s one critical person who doesn’t know the truth, and that’s Oscar himself. Kim has been keeping the terrible truth from Oscar because she doesn’t want him to be burdened with the knowledge that he’s dying. She’d prefer for him to live out his remaining days just enjoying life as a normal kid.

But now that Drew knows the truth, it’s going to be hard for Kim to continue to keep the secret. It looks like Drew may spill the beans to Oscar, as GH spoilers say that Oscar will be stunned and Kim will tear into Drew. Perhaps Oscar will ask Drew point blank what’s going on and Drew will feel he has no choice but to tell Oscar the truth.

No matter how it goes down, Oscar is going to be devastated by the news. It will come as a complete shock for a young man who thought he had his whole life ahead of him. But Oscar’s also going to be stunned that his mom kept the truth from him for so long.

Eventually, Oscar may come to understand why Kim chose to hide the truth from him, but at first he’ll probably be quite angry. Oscar is sensitive to his mom treating him like a little kid who can’t handle things on his own, and he’ll probably feel like it was a betrayal for Kim to withhold something that so deeply affects him.

Oscar will also probably feel that he should have some say in how he’s evaluated and treated medically. He may resent his mother for leaving him out of the medical conversations and treatment decisions thus far. Oscar’s growing up, and he’ll likely want to take control of his medical journey from here, which might upset Kim, who has always thought she’s known best.

Mother and son will likely have some issues to work through, and hopefully they can do so quickly. Oscar’s going to need a lot of help and support to get through the next few months. He may surprise his parents with how resilient he is, but the first order of business will be working through the anger that Oscar’s surely going to feel toward Kim.
