General Hospital Spoilers Monday, November 12: Sonny’s Special Brings Dante’s Comeback – Shocking Dream Changes Sonny’s Life

“General Hospital” spoilers for Monday, November 12, tease that Sonny (Maurice Benard) will settle in for a fascinating dream. He made sure drunk Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was tucked in on the sofa nearby, so he’ll be free to let his mind wonder. After reflecting for a while, Sonny will drift off to sleep. That’ll lead to a very special fantasy, which will honor Benard’s 25th anniversary at GH.

Sonny was drawn into crime at a young age, but what would his life have been like without all that violence? “General Hospital” will consider that possibility in Sonny’s alternate reality. Benard’s real-life son, Joshua Benard, will appear as a teen Sonny. He’ll be on hand to show Sonny making some different choices, which will set up some shockers in adulthood.

Anna (Finola Hughes), Carly (Laura Wright) and Michael (Chad Duell) will all be affected by this new path. Julian (William deVry), Ava (Maura West), Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) will be featured as well. “General Hospital” spoilers say the show will dive in some individual scenarios, so that should be fun to watch.

Of course, we have to mention the biggest draw of all! Dominic Zamprogna will be reprising the role of Dante. It’ll just be for this one-day fantasy, but GH fans will take what they can get. We’ve all been missing Dante since his departure in June.

Thanks to this alternate road for Sonny, his relationship with Dante will take an interesting turn. “General Hospital” will deliver plenty of surprises as they depart from the usual mix of storylines. All the normal action will return on Tuesday, but sometimes it’s nice to have a little break and let GH think outside the box.

Shelly Altman is a co-head writer for GH and she had some intriguing teasers in a Soap Opera Digest interview. “We all think this in our lives at some point,” Altman said. “’Boy, if I hadn’t made this decision on that day, how would my life have been different?’ So, it’s almost as if the idea presented itself.”

Altman also promised that Sonny would gain a deeper understanding of himself. He certainly won’t forget about what he dreams and what might’ve been. Altman promised, “He will remember the content and is affected by the experience.” She indicated that Sonny will take a long hard look at his choices and find a way to accept what he’s done.
