General Hospital Spoilers: Will Laura Have “Kevin” Committed At Ferncliff?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) obvious love and concern for the man she thinks is her husband Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) may soon put his evil twin Ryan Chamberlain (also Jon Lindstrom) in a rather peculiar position!

General Hospital spoilers show that Laura has mentioned to several people (including “Kevin” himself, which Ryan did not take well at all!) that Kevin is not himself and possibly may be experiencing a nervous breakdown!

Ryan handed her divorce papers in a recent episode, which led to her telling him he needed psychiatric help..this brought a threat from Ryan, that if she ever told him something like that it again it would be the last thing she says!

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Knows Something Is Wrong

But as long as Laura has not signed the papers, the divorce will not be valid; and actually, since Ryan is impersonating his twin brother, it won’t be valid even if signed, once the truth comes out. This still gives Laura an implied medical power of attorney as Kevin’s wife, which would allow her, if necessary, to obtain needed medical care for him…..or, as the case may be, psychiatric care!

It would be a dilemma for Ryan indeed if through the process of judicial commitment – which basically provides a spouse or family member the means to commit a person to a psychiatric facility if he or she is a danger to himself or others, the judge assigned him to Ferncliff!

Since Ferncliff is the state facility for the mentally ill, it’s a good bet that’s exactly where he would be assigned! Laura may have some difficulty proving Kevin a danger without a very good lawyer, but General Hospital viewers know that Laura would definitely undertake this step with the help of a competent attorney experienced in this type of case.
