General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan’s Sacrifice – Can He Give Sam What She Really Wants?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is starting to think more like a father and a family man than a mob enforcer. On October 29th’s ABC soap episode, he and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) were going through the years of love letters between Joe Scully (Robert Miano) and Jeannette Marino (Ely Pouget).

The subject of children and mistakes of younger years came up. Jason mentioned he wouldn’t want his kids to follow in his footsteps! He didn’t want his kids to think he was a saint either. This shows Jason may have a family man side to him after all.

One big reason that Sam is still pushing Jason away romantically is because even though she still loves him, as well as his brother Drew Cain (Billy Miller), Jason still has a dangerous side to him. Even though that dangerous side generally comes out in defense of others, he has still been in situations where he nearly died from the actions of others. That leaves his children and family in danger of losing him to death, a fact which Sam lived out for five years.

Drew got in some dangerous situations as well, but told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) he didn’t want to be his enforcer. Jason retook his place as Sonny’s enforcer, even though there hasn’t been a whole lot of mob action lately. But the thing that still draws Sam to Drew is safety and stability.

When she and Drew were married, she had a safe, stable and secure family life, which is something she craves…she never had it in her own life growing up. Will Jason realize this and try the life of a family man to win her back fully?
