General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Dad Headed Back To PC – Will He Turn Sonny’s Life Upside Down?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Mike’s (Max Gail) father and son reunion with Sonny (Maurice Benard) might not be as easy as he thinks. That’s because he’s coming at a very difficult time in Sonny and Carly’s (Laura Wright) life right now. With a baby on the way and a family reunion in the works, everything is about to be turned upside down.

Sonny and Carly are trying to keep things from falling apart, but it’s not easy. With Mike in Sonny’s life again, all he can think about is the resentment he has for his biological dad. After all, when his mother’s stepfather abused him, Mike was nowhere to be found. And that’s something Sonny can’t forget.

As a matter of fact, co-head writer Chris Van Etten says as much as Mike is trying to make his wrongs into rights, it might not be very easy for him or Sonny for that matter. He recently told ABC Soaps In Depth, “There is still quite a bit of residual resentment on Sonny’s part. Which is one of the reasons that the father and son reunion is filled with so much underlying tension.”

If that weren’t enough, something is obviously wrong with Mike. He is showing early signs of dementia. At one point he even called Carly “Courtney” which seems very out of character for him.

He’s not the same guy that he used to be, and this concerns Sonny. Writer Shelly Altman added, “Given all the baggage that exists between them, it’s a question of whether Sonny will be able to unpack it.”
