General Hospital Spoilers: Hot New Storyline For Genie Francis

General Hospital fans were not happy campers when GH spoilers revealed that fan favorite Genie Francis had been dropped to recurring status on the ABC soap, and Laura Spencer would be off the canvas.

The shocking casting news even took Genie herself by surprise, the iconic actress didn’t address the public, but her agent did, and made it pretty clear that Francis was not thrilled about being bumped.

General Hospital fans spoke loud and clear on social media, and collected thousands of signatures on various petitions going around the internet to bring Laura Spencer back to Port Charles.

According to General Hospital spoilers, ABC exec Nathan Varni teased a big storyline in the works for Genie Francis on an episode of Daytime After Dark.  GH has heard fans’ outcries, and it sounds like they are trying to right their casting wrong.

Of course, the writers will have to cook up something extra amazing for Laura Spencer in order to convince Genie Francis to return to the soap opera full time.  After all, Varni said that they are cooking up a great storyline for Genie, there’ no news yet on whether or not she has accepted their pitch.
