General Hospital Spoilers: Has Mary Pat Been Blackmailing Kevin All Along – Ryan Plots Against Nurse

General Hospital spoilers tease that former Ferncliff nurse Mary Pat Ingalls (Patricia Bethune) may have been blackmailing Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) all along about his keeping his twin Ryan Chamberlain in Ferncliff! Undoubtedly Kevin meant well, hoping to cure and rehabilitate Ryan; but as Ryan said in a recent episode, the patient has to want to change, and Ryan didn’t!

Even though Mary Pat would never win the Florence Nightingale award for nursing, she may have still required quite a bit more to keep her mouth shut about Ryan. Psychiatrists generally make a good living, and don’t have to moonlight in mental hospitals, although of course Kevin may only have moonlighted in Ferncliff in order to keep an eye on Ryan.

Until Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was committed there for the short time she was, no one in Port Charles had ever known about Kevin’s moonlighting! He may have been moonlighting to be able to keep paying off Mary Pat!

When Mary Pat drunkenly threatened Ryan on the docks, thinking he was Kevin, she made herself a target. Ryan played along with Mary Pat about the “long partnership” the two had had. But if Mary Pat and Dr. Lasiris (Casey Biggs) were getting ready to perform electroshock therapy on Carly, a treatment that is thought to give patients relief from major depressive disorders by inducing seizures. What was next – a lobotomy, an antiquated treatment for mental patients that involved brain surgery to sever connections in the patient’s prefrontal cortex?

Had Mary Pat with the help of Dr. Lasiris performed unethical, possibly illegal procedures on Ryan without Kevin’s knowledge? Maybe Ryan wasn’t faking the screams that Carly heard after all!

Mary Pat could inspire murder in the sanest of persons, but it looks like Ryan is going to “hook up” Mary Pat in the most nightmarish of ways. Even though Ryan doesn’t care enough about Kevin to protect his secret from coming out—if it does, it might bust Ryan as well…and he just can’t afford to let that happen!
