General Hospital Spoilers: Ely Pouget Cast As Mystery Character – Margaux Or Chase’s Mom?

General Hospital spoilers say that actress Ely Pouget, formerly Dr. Laura Braun of “The Young and the Restless” has been cast as a mystery character! Nothing has been revealed about how her character will fit into the Port Charles landscape, or when her first air date will be. However, it has been teased that she will play a character named “Jeannette”.

The name “Jeannette” is very close to the name “Janet” which DA Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) previously said was her mother’s name, so savvy General Hospital fans are assuming she’ll be playing Margaux’s mother. Ely’s looks do have enough similarity to Elizabeth’s that it is possible for them to play a mother and a daughter.

Other General Hospital spoilers have teased that Margaux’s father wasn’t even Vincent Marino! Considering the recent revelation of Margaux’s mom as Joe Scully’s (Robert Miano) mistress, it does make sense for GH writers to bring her onto the canvas.

However, there is also another family situation in Port Charles where an off-screen mother has been discussed recently—as a source of major dysfunction between a father and a son! That would be the Chase/Finn family. Other General Hospital spoilers tease that Gregory Chase’s (James Read) second wife, who is Detective Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) mother, is the source of the problems that have divided the elder Chase and his older son from his first marriage, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton)!

There is even a possibility that Dr. Finn could have been involved with the younger Chase’s mother before their father was, and before Finn’s marriage to his late wife Reiko-meaning Finn’s younger brother could actually be his son! There’s nothing like a father and son being involved with the same woman to tear apart a family! It makes just as much sense to bring Mrs. Chase onto the GH canvas as it does Mrs. Marino, considering these two storylines!

So who will Ely Pouget be on General Hospital…Mrs. Marino or Mrs. Chase? Margaux and Harrison Chase are probably close to the same age, so it could be a toss-up until she actually starts airing!
