General Hospital spoilers tease that Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), Oscar Nero’s (Garren Stitt) oncologist may have had a very good reason for not prescribing medical marijuana, which is said to be helpful for cancer patients.
Marijuana may interact unfavorably with some of Oscar’s cancer meds! Cameron Webber (Robert Lipton) may mean well in trying to score some street weed for Oscar, hoping it will help him, but even if he is successful in getting it to Oscar, it may do more harm than good!
General Hospital Takes On Medical Marijuana
For one thing, medical marijuana does not cure cancer, it only alleviates extreme pain. It is the last go-to for cancer patients when more conventional drugs like morphine no longer work. Plus, medical marijuana and recreational marijuana are different.
Both have two chemicals, Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, and Cannabidiol, or CBD. The THC is the chemical that causes the high, while the CBD is the chemical that relieves pain.
Medical marijuana is much higher in CBD than THC, while the recreational form is higher in THC than CBD. Plus, studies have shown that the chemicals in medical marijuana can work against immunotherapy drugs used in cancer treatment and make them less effective!
General Hospital Spoilers – Cameron’s Gift Backfires
So unfortunately, if Cam does manage to get the weed to Oscar and he takes it, it might cancel out any effects of Oscar’s immunotherapy and make things worse for Oscar! If he were to keep taking it secretly while in the immunotherapy trial, Oscar could actually die from the marijuana making the immunotherapy not work!

Other General Hospital spoilers say Cam will be arrested for possession, so it’s questionable if he is even able to get any weed to Oscar. But if he does, he could wind up indirectly being Oscar’s killer instead of his healer.
