General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Has Mike Arrested, Fights Sonny For Avery Custody

It’s pretty obvious that Ava (Maura West) has more than just a bone to pick with Sonny (Maurice Bernard). General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava is finally getting her revenge on her never-ending tug-of-war with mob boss Sonny over his custody of Avery. For Sonny, it’s putting him in a difficult position between two members of his family.

After Dante (Dominic Falconeri) managed to find a wandering Mike (Max Gail) with Avery, Ava is not letting Sonny get off the hook for this. Even though Mike is suffering from dementia, she wants him arrested.

According to ABC Soaps in Depth, co-head writer Shelly Altman says, “It’s certainly a logical emotional response of a mother who feared for her child. At the same time, Ava is always forward-thinking, and sees this might actually be an opportunity for her to gain an upper hand in the custody of Avery.”

In other words, Ava knows that the ball is in her court. She even persuades Jordan to put Mike under arrest, which complicates matters even more for Sonny.

Shelly added, “Its breaks Sonny’s heart. It tears him in two to see his father carted off and he knows there’s nothing he can do about it for the time being. He is caught between the two generations of his family, wanting to do the best for everyone. He really is faced with a dilemma”

Things turn for the worst though when Sonny finds out that not every judge will take Mike’s disease into account. Either way, this will end up causing more friction between Ava and Sonny in their struggle for power and custody of Avery.
