General Hospital Spoilers: After all the Tragedies & Bitterness – Could Maxie Be Falling in Love with Peter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that sometimes the most beautiful things rise out of tragedy; can this be said about Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey)?

GH sources tease that right after Maxie’s beloved husband, Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was brutally murdered, she felt nothing but pure black hatred for Peter; blaming him for the death of his brother; but it wasn’t always that way!

Remember when Nathan first died, Maxie wouldn’t let anyone near her; she even told Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) to not come around because seeing Nina was like having Nathan around; thinking back, it’s a little bit ironic that she pushed away Nina,- Nathan’s sister/cousin, but welcomed Peter around, who Maxie, at the time, thought was a complete stranger but later learned was actually Nathan’s brother. It was during the unknown time that Maxie often commented how much Peter reminded her of Nathan!

General Hospital spoilers indicate it took several tragedies and near tragedies for these two to finally accept friendship. On top of helping Maxie cope with the death of her husband, Peter ended up being a savior for Maxie when he helped deliver a determined baby James West at the side of the road. Peter evaded arrest for a while, but later was abducted and tortured by Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). All around it doesn’t seem like Peter had an easy life, not as an adult, nor as a child; but he definitely has found a friend and confidant in Maxie,

Viewers of the ABC soap opera have seen how Peter looks at Maxie, and his longing to fit in and be a family; something he’s never had. This is definitely something the powers that be are exploring as GH fans are now seeing Maxie spending more and more time talking about Peter when he isn’t around. She likes how similarities between him and Nathan. Could there be a real future for Maxie and Peter?
