General Hospital RUMORS: Michael’s Heartache, Falls For Maxie, She Wants Peter – PC Love Triangle Explodes

General Hospital spoilers tease that grieving would-be-father Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) might hang out a little too much with Baby James West (Sally Brown) if mama Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) doesn’t set some boundaries. While it’s good for James to have some father figures such as family friend Michael and Uncle Peter August (Wes Ramsey) around, if Michael gets too attached to him he might become a third wheel to Maxie and Peter’s budding relationship.

On the other hand, many General Hospital fans who remember Michael’s sweet act of standing in for Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) in one of Maxie’s Lamaze classes thought that Michael and Maxie might make a good match!

Michael’s close friendship with or possibly even dating Maxie could be a sweet story, allowing Michael to have young James in his life on a regular basis. Of course, neither he nor his family knows yet that Jonah is actually alive and well and living with the unchosen (by himself) alias of Wiley Cooper Jones!

But, the only problem there is about Michael and Maxie getting together is that she’s already fallen for Peter, although still denying it to herself! Michael could be in for even more heartache if he gets too emotionally attached to Maxie and James, and she and Peter get together romantically!

There are already fans rooting for “Paxie” and for Michael and Maxie as a couple as well, although no one has quite figured out a couple name for the two yet – “Mixie”, perhaps? Michael and Maxie actually do have some family ties, although not blood ties; long time GH viewers will recall that her father, Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) was the brother of Dr. Tony Jones (Brad Maule) who was once married to Michael’s maternal grandmother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

However, all Peter wants is family to love and be loved by; so that might put Maxie in a difficult position trying to be friends with both men, while subconsciously wanting Peter as more than a friend, and Michael could fall for Maxie while she falls for Peter! That would be very soapy and could put Maxie in an unenviable position similar to Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco)!
