General Hospital rumors indicate that Mike (Max Gail) might be back, but his memory isn’t what it used to be. As a matter of fact, there’s a strong possibility that Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) father might be suffering from a decline in his mental health. Fans believe that Mike was brought back to tell the story of a man with Alzheimer’s.
It all begins when Mike doesn’t know what happened to the $10,000 cash he was suppose to deliver for Caruso. Mike claimed he was set up, he claimed he did not know where the money was. Later Sonny went to get a cigar and found the money in Mike’s cigar humidor. If that weren’t enough, Mike also referred to Carly (Laura Wright) as Courtney, which seems very out of character for him.

There’s a strong possibility that General Hospital writers are following in the footsteps of Mal Young over at The Young and the Restless on CBS. As many The Young and the Restless fans know, Dina (Marla Adams) has been suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease for several months now.
Of course, General Hospital producers are yet to make any comments about Mike Corbin’s return. Still, fans are interested what direction the character will go in. After all, Port Charles sure does need a break from all of the villains and the entire memory-mapping ordeal that has caused nothing but havoc for everyone involved. If Mike does come back though, his new story line might be connected to his Alzheimer’s. Fans will just have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
