The Young and The Restless RUMORS: Ashby Family In Crisis – Lily and Cane’s Marriage In Trouble?

The Young and the Restless rumors indicate that Lily’s (Christel Khalil) imprisonment will cause a strain on marriage to Cane (Daniel Goodard).

This week the Ashby family learned Lily’s fate when she went on trial for vehicular homicide, which resulted in the death of Hilary (Mishel Morgan) and her baby. The family braced for the worst as Lily prepared for the maximum sentence of 20 years. Yet, a last minute plea from Devon (Bryton James), saw Lily’s prison term reduced to one year.

While one year in prison doesn’t seem like much, it’s already taking a toll on the Ashby family. In today’s episode, Lily broke down while in her prison cell. Meanwhile, Cane had his hands full at home by taking care of Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), and baby Sam. As he prepared breakfast and tried to get the kids ready for school, Cane put on a brave face, yet later he broke down in tears.

It’s only been a day, but it’s obvious Lily’s prison sentence is affecting the family. With the stress of Lily being away, it’s going to be difficult on The Ashbys and it may impact the couple’s marriage.

Cane and Lily aren’t the first couple on Y&R to experience problems. They survived Lily’s cancer battle, Cane’s affair along with his other betrayals, but will prison be the thing to finally tear the couple apart.

Christel Khalil was recently dropped to recurring so viewers will be seeing less of Lily. So what does that mean for Cane and the kids?

With Cane being stressed about taking care of the children, it could lead to arguments with him and Lily. Given how Cane wanted to keep the truth about the car wreck a secret, it’s going to cause even more trouble.

Will Lily and Cane’s marriage survive? Or will her prison sentence be too much for the couple to overcome? Y&R viewers will have to watch to see what becomes of their favorite couple.
