General Hospital RUMOR: Sonny Corinthos Uses Joe Scully’s Mistress In Brutal Battle Against Margaux?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may have some very reasonable doubt to fight with in court if DA Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) ever DOES manage to bring charges against him in the Vincent Marino case.

On Friday, October 19th’s episode, Sonny recognized Margaux’s mother in some old photos in newspaper clippings Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) brought to Sonny and Jason—as Joe Scully Sr.’s mistress! Sonny remarked to Jason that the law would call the situation between Scully, Marino, and Mrs. Marino a motive for murder! Of course, Sonny could also eliminate the possibility of any trial if he offers his information ahead of time.

When this whole body in Croton storyline started, Sonny only buried a body for Scully, and somehow the GH writers forgot that and more recently had Sonny confessing to the murder. However, Margaux can’t take Sonny down for her “father’s” death without the gun, and the gun would have to have forensics showing Sonny handled the gun. If Mike Corbin (Max Gail) threw it in the Hudson River as he recalled, it’s doubtful any DNA or fingerprints would have survived.

The best they could do is possibly prove it was the murder weapon by comparing it to the bullets dug out of Vincent Marino’s bones. So Sonny’s remark may either be a sign that the GH writers are correcting the storyline, or Sonny will be using the information about Margaux’s mom being Scully’s mistress to suggest that either Scully, as originally claimed, killed Marino or possibly even that Mrs. Marino could have killed Mr. Marino!

For now, the Port Charles Police Department has dropped the case. Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) recently informed Margaux of that fact. Of course Margaux is determined to take Sonny down anyway. Jordan is no fan of Sonny, but if he offers the information to her as a possible alternative theory for a viable suspect, she may bite and reopen the case.

Scully has been long dead so there won’t be a lot of investigation of him, but Margaux’s mother may be still alive. We don’t know a lot about her, except that her name is Janet through Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) background check, and that she was Scully’s mistress through Sonny’s information.

If she is still alive, and Jordan opens an investigation, Margaux may be faced with the possibility of being involved in an investigation of her own mother for the death of the man she knew as her father!

Jordan would again advise her to recuse herself, but Margaux would likely not, focusing on disproving that her mother could have been involved in the murder. She’ll still be obsessed with taking down Sonny!
